2019 // public art installation
Take Me was a public art commission for the City of Albuquerque. Originally installed at the KiMo Theatre in downtown Albuquerque.
Take Me is an installation that creates the facade of the offices of a fictional paranormal investigator named Aurora Aura. LED and neon signs advertise Aurora's services and phone number. When viewers dial the number they encounter an interactive phone tree that guides them through a narrative based in locations around the city of Albuquerque.
An hour of spoken word narrative guides participants through bizarre moon cycles, UFO sightings, time travel, and other strange phenomena to reveal the truths that Aurora uncovered and to solve the mystery of where she disappeared to.
I'm currently (as of December 2022) working with the city on a permanent location for the work.
