Ocean Waves

2014 - 2015

A synthetic ocean formed from an analog Conair Sound Therapy white noise generator fed through a Max patch to live generate video white noise. An ocean generated from analog and digital white noise; an ocean recreated from memory out of the raw, primordial putty of random information. A way to take the edge off of modern life by watching synthetic waves crash on a silicon beach.

Dimensions are variable I have shown it in a planetarium dome and as a projection both in public spaces and galleries. It was accepted to ISEA 2015: Art and Disruption.

I'm proud to say that at ISEA 2015: Art and Disruption it was shut down for being too disruptive.
